Overview:
This project expands “Sembian-ori,” a unique technique combining washi paper and hand weaving, into architecture, art, interiors, and fashion. It inherits the founder’s grandfather’s techniques using Kurotani washi, while collaborating both domestically and internationally. By relocating back to Kyoto and fostering artisans alongside expanding market channels, it aims to integrate traditional aesthetics into contemporary life and future society.
