1000年以上前から作られてきたと伝えられています。別名「カゲロウの羽」とも呼ばれる、世界でいちばん薄い和紙です。その種類の豊富さと品質の良さから、書道用紙はもとより絵画・版画などの美術用紙、美術品や文化財の修復用紙としても高い評価を得ており、世界中で使用されています。
Tosa Washi has been in production for more than 1,000 years. Also known as "mayfly feathers", it is the thinnest Japanese paper in the world.
