These tea ceremony tools are produced in Takayama, Nara Prefecture. Tea scoops, ladles, flower vases, tea bowls, and other distinctive products are made in accordance with the principles of tea ceremony, mostly by careful handwork using small knives and files. The main material used is madake bamboo, and the sight of bamboo drying in the sun from January to February is a seasonal sight in winter.
