Kasama Aizome

Kasama Aizome refers to a traditional Japanese indigo dyeing technique. It uses a natural indigo dye derived from the Japanese indigo plant, Persicaria tinctoria. The process involves fermenting the leaves to create a dye vat, and repeated dipping of fabric to achieve a unique, deep blue color. Indigo dyeing is a revered craft passed down for generations in Japan.
