Uradome Yaki

因幡の名勝、浦富海岸の漁村田尻から小栗にかけての山中より陶石を運び、乳母ヶ懐の山裾に窯を築き、出石の陶工を招いて国産奨励の政策の下、鳥取藩の助成を受けながら江戸の末期から明治維新により廃藩になるまでの10数年間、染付の日用雑器が焼かれていました。1971年3月、浦富山麓に登り窯を築き、江戸時代に用いられた同じ陶石を生地とし、白磁・染付・黒刷毛を主に現代生活に即した日用品・工芸品を制作。再び、浦富の磁器が作成されています。

Uradome Yaki was established at the end of the Edo Period on the Uradome Coast, Tottori prefecture, creating porcelain wares. In 1971, a climbing kiln was built Kiriyama castle ruins for the creation of Uradome yaki. Experiencing periods of decline and revival, the practice is active today created items suitable for daily use.
