EGOTE (Trowel with a long handle) When making narrow-mouthed pottery, your hand can't go inside after the mouth is shaped. So, if you want to widen the middle part, you insert an Egote inside. You will widen it slowly from the lower side to upper by touching it with the wide edge of the Egote. By doing so, you can successfully make that wider shape while leaving the narrow mouth as it is.
