Nishinouchi Washi is a traditional Japanese paper with a history of 350 years. It is characterized by the fact that only kozo is used as a raw material, and no mitsumata or gampi is used. The characteristic is that it is a strong paper, so it is said that it was often used not only for shoji, umbrellas, and lanterns, but also for accounts receivable. It is hard to tear and the writing does not bleed. Due to its strong and well-preserved nature, it was used as a merchant's daifuku book in the Edo period.
