奈良県奈良市大和郡山市周辺で作られる筆。材料である獣毛の選択から仕上げまでが全て一切機械を使わず、職人の手作業で行われます。卓越した技術や目利きによって作られる奈良筆は、通常の筆よりも穂先の仕上がりが鋭く、美しい形に仕上がります。
Brushes made in and around Nara City and Yamatokoriyama City in Nara Prefecture are crafted entirely by hand, with no use of machinery, from selecting animal hair to finishing the product. Thanks to the artisans’ exceptional skills and keen eye for detail, Nara brushes are known for their sharply finished tips and beautifully refined shapes, surpassing the quality of ordinary brushes.
