万力鎖

万力鎖（まんりきぐさり）は、主に日本の武術で使用される護身具または武器の一種です。万力鎖は、鎖の両端に分銅（錘）が付いた構造をしています。主な使い方には、以下のものがあります。打撃遠心力を利用して分銅を振り回し、相手の顔面や手足に打ち付けて攻撃します。絡め捕り相手の腕や首に鎖を絡ませて動きを封じたり、ひっくり返したりします。また、相手の刀を絡め捕って落とすことも可能です。投擲相手の足元に分銅を投げつけ、ひるんだ隙に逃げ出すといった使い方もあります。

The manriki-gusari (万力鎖) is a short chain weapon associated with Edo-period law enforcement. Designed for entangling and restraining rather than lethal force, it allowed officials to subdue suspects during a time of internal peace. Its compact design reflects the restrained application of power characteristic of Tokugawa-era civil policing.
