Founding Director Beimer Meet Mayor Koji Matsui to Discuss the Future of Traditional Crafts Founding Director Beimer, together with Ms. Yasuko Ozawa, President of Office Dandorlina, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Koji Matsui at Kyoto City Hall. They were joined by Mr. Riku Matsuzaki, recipient of the Grand Prize in the FY2025 “Japanese Traditional Crafts Revitalization Contest,” and exchanged views on the preservation and succession of traditional crafts. JapanCraft21 continues to organize the Japanese Traditional Crafts Revitalization Contest and to support the activities of those involved in traditional crafts. This visit is also featured on the official Kyoto City website in the “Mayor’s Activities (June 18, 2026)” section.
