From the time when it was tied to the tribute to the imperial court in the Asuka period, then from the Genroku period to the present day, there is a history of high-quality mizuhiki production utilizing inherited traditional methods. Iida Mizuhiki is characterized by the beauty of straight lines with a strong core and the beauty of curves created by the technique of connecting, and is also presented to the Imperial family of Japan.
