⚫︎ 深野紙 / Fukano Gami
深野和紙は、江戸時代には江戸や京・大坂にまで流通し、元禄年間には紀州藩により藩の幣料紙（銀札用紙）として採用されました。高品質で知られ、1871年（明治4年）に日本で最初の郵便切手が製造された際に切手用紙として用いられました。同じ三重県で生産される伊勢和紙とはルーツを異にしています。
In the Edo period, Fukano washi paper was distributed as far as Edo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and during the Genroku period, it was adopted by the Kishu clan as the domain's money paper (silver bill paper). Known for its high quality, it was used as stamp paper when the first postage stamps were manufactured in Japan in 1871 (Meiji 4). It has different roots from Ise washi paper produced in the same Mie prefecture.
