約１２００年もの歴史を誇る手漉き和紙で、丈夫で墨の乗りがよく、特に仮名書きに最適とされます。書に適した紙として書家の間で好評を得ています。長期保存に耐えられることから、昭和55年の東大寺昭和大納経の料紙にも挙用されました。
Bicchu Washi is a handmade Japanese paper with a history of about 1,200 years, and is durable and has a good ink ride, making it especially suitable for writing kana. It has been well received among calligraphers as a paper suitable for calligraphy. Since it can withstand long-term storage, it was also used as the paper of the Todaiji Showa Daina Sutra in Showa 55.
