Aizu cotton dyeing

Aizu momen is a cotton plain weaving of Aizu County in Mutsu Province (currently western Fukushima Prefecture). The fine knots created by the applying of glue creates a layer of air between the warp and weft threads, which absorbs sweat and has excellent heat retention. The texture is thick and fluffy, and it does not shrink easily.
